Plans Approved for New Rescue
The Department recently received approval for a new rescue truck. Plans are underway to replace Utility 69-1 with a non walk-in vehicle that will be designed for RIT responses, and will carry a complete set of hydraulic rescue tools, a variety of HazMat equipment and supplies, and a 15 ft light tower powered by a 25kw PTO generator. Personnel will be reviewing the specs from recent rescue deliveries at Stations 82, 75, 32, and 93 (Gloucester County). A late 2009 delivery is anticipated.
